The Mercury mountaineer Brush Guard not only protects the vehicle, but it also adds a safety feature to your truck. Anyone driving a car with a stainless steel brush guard is more protected than he or she would be in the same car without a brush guard. If you plan on driving through difficult conditions which put your grille or engine at risk, adding this accessory to your Mercury mountaineer can give anyone peace of mind.

Also called grille guards, they are designed to protect the grille, the engine, the front end paint job and even the driver under the most difficult brush driving situations. Brush guards are made to accommodate style preferences in two different materials, stainless steel and carbon steel. Cars that have them attached often find they need to lead the way for other vehicles without the same protection. People who spend a lot of time driving through brush, tall grass and wooded areas, can make great use of Mercury mountaineer Grill Guards. Instead of letting Mother Nature damage your vehicle, the simple installation of brush guards can keep your investment safe from potential damage. The new guards do not ruin the look of vehicles like they once did. That's why you see Mercury mountaineer sporting brush guards that have never seen the brush.

After almost 30 years of production, the Mercury MOUNTAINEER production stopped at the end of 1997 model year. Still in 1999 production of Mercury MOUNTAINEER and its parts was renewed. The first new model was exhibited in May 1998. Unlike its predecessors, the brand-new vehicle was front-wheel-drive. The new MOUNTAINEER was a completely new-built car, and in the Ford lineage there were no sister-cars. In addition, the sporty MOUNTAINEER uses Ford's New Edge design, a styling approach that differentiates it from the competitors.

During the history of its production, the muscle car gradually turned into a compact with an underpowered engine. Starting from the first and up to the forth generation Cougars were equipped with a range of engines from 4.7L up to 7L producing power from 168hp to 390hp. Starting with the fifth generation and to the last one, the volume of the engines and the power gradually lessened to 2.0L 160hp, which made the vehicle more environmentally friendly.

The first Mercury MOUNTAINEER came off in 1967 as the more upmarket version of the Ford Mustang. Mercury MOUNTAINEER was created as the more stylish vehicle than its predecessor regarding both interior and exterior parts. The MOUNTAINEER was created 3-inch longer than the Mustang. Though Mercury MOUNTAINEER was created with the emphasis on luxury rather than on performance, it left its trace on the American street scene. During the period of its production there were released 8 generations of the vehicles. Each of them can be called unique because every new generation was released facelifted and had various engine packages.
